Hornets Welcome Inclusive football.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Zoe Harvey and her football team to Histon Hornets.
This 16 strong squad are joining us from Cambridge United Foundation and we’re formally known as Cambridge United PAN.
The team formed just over a year ago and quickly developed a strong bond with players aged between 17-56 who all qualify to play inclusion football due to either a physical or neurological disorder.
All of the players included in this team are either Visually impaired, hearing impaired, have cerebral palsy, a mental health condition or learning disability. To read more about the team or contact Zoe please click here.

No player can be registered without a signed form. The form should be returned to the appropriate manager along with the teams subscription for next season, a gain no player will be registered without the registration fee.

Ipswich Town Football Club Foundation partner with Histon Hornets Football Club The Ipswich Town Football Club Foundation are delighted to announce a partnership with Histon Hornets Football Club. The partnership will bring immediate benefits for both parties through their commitments to support one another as set out below. Players of Histon Hornets will receive discounts to Foundation activities and sessions as well as coaches of the Club receiving CPD sessions throughout the year whilst Ipswich Town Foundation branding will appear on site at the Histon & Impington Recreation Ground. Standing up for the Stutes
English football have recently published heading guidance across every level of the professional and amateur game for the start of the 2021/22 season. The announcement and guidance is available below.
Our summer football tournament was held on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of July and unlike recent seasons held over 2 days with girls on the Saturday afternoon and boys on the Sunday. Our aim of the tournament was to allow mini league teams to enjoy a relaxed few hours of 5 a side football after what we can all agree has been a very restricted 18 months. With almost 100 teams competing and spread out over multiple pitches the event was a great success as seen in the comments below: "Dear Histon Hornets, I just wanted to write a quick note to thank you all for a fantastic tournament at the weekend. I can only imagine the work that went into it to make it happen, but it was absolutely worth it. All the teams seem to enjoy it and the organisation was excellent. Thanks again for giving the kids a great weekend, and good luck for next year. Oakington Vikings" "Good morning to all at Histon Hornets FC, On behalf of all at Needingworth colts I just wanted to say thank you for Sunday. All the boys & parents really enjoyed the morning. Great job by all involved at the club especially considering the Covid uncertainty. We will certainly return next summer. " Personally my favourite part of the whole event was the attached image, a home made poster from a young Hornet sibling which sums up our clubs ethos and the atmosphere we look to create at our grassroots club.
